Miggy Buck is a New York City-based sculptor who commonly makes oversized objects referencing topics related to the body. The majority of her pieces have a public platform. Her work has been exhibited in the East River State Park, Brooklyn, NY, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn, NY, Empire Fulton Ferry State Park, Brooklyn, NY, Governors Island, NY, City of Chattanooga, TN, Adelphi University, Garden City, NY, Summit Art Park, NJ. Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, Daily News, Brooklyn Free Press, and featured on CBS network. Her residencies include the MacDowell Colony, Triangle Arts France, Socrates Sculpture Park, Islip Art Museum, and the Bronx Museum. Fellowships include Studio Arts Center International, Italy and Columbia University. She has a BFA fromthe Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Columbia University and has been an Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design BFA program since 2001.
